Origins of "Notes of a Sportswriter's Daughter"

My Father: Frank Haraway was a sportswriter for the Denver Post for half a century. He was also the official scorer for Denver's National League baseball team, the Rockies, and on the stats crews for the professional football and basketball teams, the Broncos and the Nuggets.

The Rockies named the press box at Coors Field after my father when he retired (reluctantly) from his scoring duties in 2001 at age 85.

The Notes: I began emailing these notes to friends and colleagues in 1999. Often I'd send a hard copy to my father ... to keep him in the game.
